Advice and representation for individuals, families and professional firms across the UK.
How we can help
Clear advice for the matter in front of you.
MBS Solicitors advises on a wide range of personal and complex immigration matters, from initial applications to appeals and Judicial Review.
Immigration decisions can affect family life, work and a person's ability to remain in the UK. We begin by understanding the history of the matter, checking the relevant documents and explaining the available application, appeal or review route.
Your first consultation
The currently published fee is £300 for an initial consultation, or £450 where a written summary is requested afterwards. Fees are subject to confirmation and may depend on the circumstances of the matter.
We advise on spouse and partner visas, applications for children, indefinite leave to remain, human rights applications and British nationality matters. We also assist with EU-related residence and settled status issues.
02
Refusals, removal and bail
Where an application has been refused or removal action is being considered, we assess the decision, the available evidence and the possible routes forward. Our work includes deportation matters and applications for immigration bail.
03
Appeals and Judicial Review
We represent clients in First-tier and Upper Tribunal appeals and advise on Judicial Review where a public decision may require challenge. We also accept instructions from other firms requiring Edinburgh agency support.
04
Work across the UK
The firm acts in immigration matters involving clients across Scotland, England and Northern Ireland, including Home Office interviews, tribunal proceedings and court challenges.

Can MBS help after an application has been refused?+
Yes. We can assess the refusal and advise whether an appeal, a fresh application or another form of challenge may be available in the circumstances.
Does the firm act outside Scotland?+
The firm handles immigration instructions involving clients in Scotland, England and Northern Ireland.
What should I bring to a first meeting?+
Bring the decision or correspondence you have received, identity and immigration documents, and any material relevant to your circumstances. The team can then explain what further evidence may be required.
